First day of the elimination diet was a success!
Breakfast:
Bowl of Rice Krispies
Soy milk
1/4 cup strawberries
Coffee with soy milk
Snack:
Almonds
Corn tortilla with avocado
Lunch:
1 cup spinach
1/4 cup broccoli
Feta cheese
Pepper
White rice
Butter
Louisiana hot sauce (one of the only hot sauces without onions/garlic)
Salt & pepper
Dinner:
2 California rolls
1/4 cup edemame
Dessert:
1/2 cup Talenti Roman Raspberry sorbetto*
*cue angels singing! This sorbet is the BEST thing I have ever tasted AND all of the ingredients are FM friendly (raspberries, water, sugar, dextrose, lemon, carob gum)
The elimination diet my dietitian gave me has a 3 fruits or veggies max each day. Fruits are 1/4 cup, cooked veggies are 1/2 cup and raw veggies are 1 cup. I may have gone a little over my 3 servings but kept to it pretty well. We'll see what tomorrow brings!

Here We Go!
So here's the deal: I've been diagnosed with fructose malabsorption for 8 months now. I have made small changes hoping my case of FM wasn't too bad but I have come to the conclusion that it's worse than I'm letting myself believe. I have cut out my beloved daily Dr. Pepper, fast food (actually no.. just McDonald's.. except for today), most onion and garlic, less pasta, I no longer eat yogurt and an apple for breakfast but alas it's not enough for my poor body. So I am going to start the dreaded elimination diet, tomorrow of course.
I'm sharing my journey in hopes of inspiring other FMers like me who feel lost.
